Waves appear during cutting - line is not straight

Preface: This article covers what to check when you have wavy lines in your scores, cuts or engraves.

Problem description

Waves appear when cutting straight line or circular.



Noted: Regularly check whether there is any dirt stuck between the belts and gears of the X-axis or Y-axis first, which may affect the trajectory of the belt. So we need to clean the side of the belt that contacts the gear. (To reduce belt wear.)


Possible Causes:

The focus lens is loose:



Solution:

Use the lens opener to lock the fixing ring.


Lens Tube is Loose:

The golden screw does not lock the laser focus tube tightly.



Solution:

Tighten it after adjusting the focus length.


Mirror 3 On Laser Head is Loose:



Solution:

Use the lens tool that was included in your toolbox to tighten.



Laser Head Screws are Loose:



Solution:

Use an Allen wrench to tighten the screws.


Y Axis coupling screws is loose:



Solution:

Use an Allen wrench to tighten the screws. There are multiple screws per coupling and multiple couplings, check them all.


Belts are Loose:

Solution:

Use an Allen wrench to adjust the tightness of the belt.


Roller Bearing Not Set Properly:

 Solution:

Adjust the tightness of the roller.


Final Check:

After you do that,If the problem still exists after checking the above,you can try the below method. 

      


Draw a X and Y straight line


Upload to the machine and start it(Only trace the line, not cut through),check whether the X or Y tangent lines have ripples.

Note:The machines of Nova 51 and Nova 63 may have slight cutting waves, which is acceptable if it is within the error range (You can also send it to us for judgment and we will assist you).

 

 

Note: Recheck the X-Axis and Y-Axis,re-cut a straight line
