Removing the Honeycomb Bed

Removing the Honeycomb Bed

The honeycomb bed can be easily removed for access to the blade system and for preventative maintenance. It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the bed systems and inspect them prior to first use to ensure that these components are properly aligned and seated.

The honeycomb rests directly on the blades and locks into the frame via 2 indexing pins for sturdy, even weight distribution and repeatable accuracy.

The bed should be lowered, and the honeycomb should be removed from the lower access door. Use extreme caution when operating the Z axis (as well as the rest of the machine). You can become crushed, trapped, and entangled posing a risk of serious injury and death.
