Thunder Laser Nova Series: Mirror Retaining Ring Removal
Preface: If you have a stubborn mirror retaining ring, here are some things you can do to loosen the ring up.
Tools you will need:
Both the snap ring and mirror tool are included in your toolbox with your Nova Series Laser.

How to use the Snap Ring pliers to loosen the retaining ring:
NOTE: Never use the snap ring pliers to tighten an mirror retainer, they are only for loosening stubborn rings. Use mirror removal tool that is supplied with the machine for installing and tightening the retaining ring.
Insert tips of the Snap Ring Plier into the holes on the ring as shown: | Turn counter-clockwise (left) to Loosen |
Use your pointer finger to put pressure on the head of the snap ring pliers to keep the posts in the mirror retaining ring holes |
How to use the Mirror Removal tool to tighten the retaining ring:
Insert the removal tool into the Slots of the retaining ring as shown | Turn Clock Wise to Tighten, Counter-Clockwise to Loosen As Needed |
