How to Manually Focus

Manually Focusing Your Laser

While the autofocus is convenient there are many reasons to manually focus.. In many cases it is quicker and sometimes even more accurate than using Autofocus.
The following video will walk you through how to manually focus your laser quickly and effortlessly.

NOTE: When using the ThunderCam to maintain accuracy AUTOfocus and the Factory 2" lens is prescribed.

Why should we manually focus?
  1. It truly is quicker
  2. You are using your rotary
  3. You're not using the Factory 2" Lens
  4. You are focusing into(closer) thicker materials
  5. Focusing away for different burn effects
  6. The substrate is transparent(Clear Cast Acrylic)
  7. The object is not flat
  8. The sensors are misaligned or not functioning correctly
