From a client:

Logo engraved on clear acrylic, with “shading” I.e. “end result looks more like grayscale” (from a color logo)....possible? Or chasing a mythical unicorn? stock 2” lens (all I’ve got) nova 24 (60watt)... I‘be tried a whole range of line interval (maybe 0.07 was “best”)....speed 200, power 11-15

 



Our Take On It


Here is what I got (on the first try, so i'm sure it can be better). The lbrn2 file is attached at the end of this article:



the scale of the design matters on how you set it up. most people use a very tight scan gap because its higher res... but the laser beam cant make a dot that small so you end up burning up all of your detail.



i used the adjustment tools and used the enhance tool to get rid of all the artifacts, tweak contrast, etc...
